About the Farm

Valley View Farm is an authentic, working farm steeped in history, situated on 140 acres in Western Massachusetts. We host weddings and other events year-round in our beautifully restored 19th-century barns, with the majority of events taking place between May and November. Valley View Farm is looking for a venue cleaner to join our team.

Quick Details

• Part-Time, Hourly

• $25/hour (with the potential for a higher rate based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule & Hours

• 25–30 hours per week

• Some weekday, but primarily weekend work

• Wedding-day shifts typically begin very early, approximately 4:00-5:00 AM and end around 10:00 AM

• Additional hours may be scheduled based on the venue's event calendar and cleaning needs

• Flexibility is important, as wedding schedules vary throughout the season

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare the venue before and after weddings and events

• Clean all spaces including restrooms, getting-ready spaces, event spaces, and common areas

• Pick up garbage after events in outdoor event spaces and parking area

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wipe down surfaces

• Help ensure the venue is presentation-ready for incoming couples and guests

• Implement deep cleaning schedule throughout the year, particularly utilizing winter slow season for deep clean projects

• Identify and report maintenance or cleaning issues to the property owner and venue managers

• Work efficiently and independently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness

• Follow venue cleaning procedures and safety standards

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or hospitality experience preferred, but not required

• Reliable and punctual

• Strong attention to detail

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Comfortable with physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies

• Able to work early mornings and weekends consistently

• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and beautiful environment
