Wedding & Event Planner
About the Farm
Valley View Farm is an authentic, working farm steeped in history, situated on 140 acres in Western Massachusetts. We host weddings and other events year-round in our beautifully restored 19th-century barns, with the majority of events taking place between May and November.
We provide clients with comprehensive planning services, including day-of coordination, curated bar and catering options, and personalized event support. Our current team includes two planners, one coordinator, a beverage director, catering managers, bartenders, and a facilities and cleaning team. We are now looking to add a full-time Wedding & Event Planner to join our growing team.
Position Details
Full-time, with a standard schedule of Wednesday–Sunday, plus additional days as needed. Flexible hours required.
Salary range: $65,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience, plus gratuities.
Benefits include four weeks of paid vacation.
Desired start date: March 1, 2025.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of event planning experience
People-oriented and friendly with a cheerful and warm demeanor
Possess personal creative skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines
Team player who can assist where needed
Willing to shoulder large and small responsibilities
Takes pride in having things run smoothly and with excellence
Expertise with Google Drive, Canva, and Calendly
Must be comfortable on a farm and around large animals
Ability to work 15+ hour shifts, until late into evening/early morning.
Can lift and move heavy items - at least 50 pounds
Drivers license
Experience with catering, floral design, event design is a plus
Social media and marketing experience is a plus
TIPS certification is a plus
Responsibilities
Lead tours, manage follow-up, and close sales with potential clients for venue bookings, planning services, catering, bar packages, lodging, and additional offerings.
Coordinate all weddings and events, supporting the lead planner with comprehensive planning tasks, from guest services and vendor communication to event décor and post-event cleanup.
Manage and lead all Private Events.
Manage and lead all Micro-Weddings.
Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, typically managing a one or two-year planning timeline for each.
Follow Valley View Farm’s established planning process while contributing personal expertise and insights to support continuous improvement and team growth.
Collaborate within a small team environment and comfortably take on multiple roles as needed to support overall business operations.
Work alongside (and at times lead) coordinators, catering and bar staff, facilities and parking teams, and external vendors on event days.
Manage day-of event operations, rehearsals, and any post-wedding follow-up.
Confidently lead or coordinate 1–3 events per weekend.
Support marketing initiatives and social media tasks as needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
Please note, due to the nature of wedding bookings and the time required for training, this role will begin with a limited number of weddings in the first season. After training and development, the role will gradually transition into a full wedding schedule, typically ranging from 10–20 weddings per year.

Hybrid role with a mix of at-home and on-site work; hours vary depending on the season and event schedule
Event days may require 12–16 hour shifts, with the ability to compensate for hours on non-event days
