The Hemenway Barn

The Hemenway Barn was moved from the historic Hemenway family dairy a few miles away. Open on all four sides, views of the surrounding hills and fields become the backdrop to your ceremony or cocktail hour. Step out onto the sprawling slate patio where you and your guests can gather around our handmade stone fire-pits. In the colder months the pavilion is enclosed with glass, allowing for a romantic heated ceremony.

Yellow Barn

The Yellow Barn sat on another farm and was slated for demolition when Suzy and David fell it love with it and moved it to Valley View Farm. The many windows let the natural light and stars in, while the original exposed beams, and hand wrought chandeliers with alabaster candles transport you to another time. The Yellow Barn can accommodate up to 200 of your favorite people for dinner and dancing. It features 4,000 square feet of indoor space with 33-foot cathedral ceilings, a full bar, the Love Nest (our bridal suite) and a full catering kitchen.

The venue itself is second to none. You truly have to make a visit to really appreciate the hard work that David and his crew did re-constructing the barn, building the beautiful stone sugar house and making each table and chair out of reclaimed wood. The results are absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a vintage farm type wedding with just enough modern touches than you’ll absolutely want to consider Valley View Farm for your wedding!

The Love Nest

Our one-of-a-kind hayloft bridal suite known as the ‘Love Nest’ is an elegant place to gather with your closest people and savor the small moments during your big day. Located on the second floor of The Yellow Barn, this space is a cozy getting ready spot and romantic getaway during the wedding and a perfect spot for pictures.

The Sugar House

Our hand built natural stone Sugar House & Cider Bar welcomes your guests as they arrive. It serves as a space for the wedding party to hang out to get ready or just relax with loved ones. With a 200 year old natural slate roof and locally sourced stone walls, it is simply ART - each stone cut and placed by hand and made to last hundreds of years. It is designed to look like the original milking barn that sat in its place in 1848.

The venue is exceptional because of the care taken to every detail and the options - you can get married in a field under a hickory tree; or a romantic covered pavilion with beautiful views and a breeze or in an impeccably renovated barn. We had 175 people who were very comfortable eating and dancing in the barn. The pavilion and patio are perfect for cocktails and also a quiet space for those who want a break from dancing - including a fire-pit. The “Love Nest” upstairs in the barn is a dreamy boudoir perfect for the bridal party dressing/makeup and then afterwards for our Photo Booth.
